DUBAI: In a celebration of Maharashtra Day like never before, Dubai witnessed the vibrant tapestry of Marathi culture come alive on May 5th, 2024. Organized by Parichay Multipurpose Society Nagpur and produced by Dipasvi Unity Foundation Pune, under the banner of Avenue Pearls Events Dubai, the Cultural Heritage of Marathi program dazzled audiences with its immersive display of tradition and talent.
Led by the visionary direction of Mrs. Anagha Arun Vekhande and co-directed by Ms. Aboli Kulkarni, the event showcased the essence of Marathi culture through a rich tapestry of drama, dance, and music. What made this celebration truly unique was the participation of 30 senior citizens, many of whom graced the stage for the first time, showcasing their talents and passion for their heritage.
From spellbinding performances by Ms. Manisha Kulkarni, Ms. Shraddha Dau, Avanti Kale and instrumentalists Milind Manke, Omkar, Atul Wadekar, Chaitanya and Mayur from Dubai to the captivating choreography by Ms. Rashmi Nhavale, every aspect of the program was meticulously crafted to resonate with the audience.
The event not only entertained but also educated Dubai residents about the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra, from the significance of festivals like Chaitra to Phalguna, to the symbolic representation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation.
The Cultural Heritage of Marathi program served as a reminder of the importance of preserving and promoting cultural diversity, even in distant lands.
